This southern-inspired smokehouse combines our love of great beer with legendary BBQ competitor Mitch Benjamin’s expertise and his award-winning “Meat Mitch” sauces. In addition, our menu features inspired meat-free options to satisfy everyone at your table. A 10,000-square foot Beer Garden features backyard amusements, such as lawn croquet, bocce and ping-pong.

County Road Ice House is a collaboration between Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que and KC’s Back Napkin Restaurant Group, now open at the vibrant corner of 14th and Walnut Streets in downtown Kansas City’s Power & Light District. Nikki G's Journey -
I started dreaming of owning a Food Truck around 5 years ago.. Just walking up and down Crossroads District looking and enjoying....couple this with my love for food I just could not let this dream slip away. I first learned to smoke meat when I was around 14 years old while working in a friend of the families restaurant in the Ozark's. I then took it to another level and started working on perfecting my craft traveling around the lower 48 trying different styles and types of bbq and decided it was time. The rest is history; 2 years in and still learning. WE LIKE TO SMOKE but tweak our menu to satisfy any tastebud. We hope you like us as much as we do.


The heart of Plowboys BBQ is competition-style barbecue. It began in 2001 when Todd Johns and his brother-in-law, Randy Hinck, started Pork Pullin Plowboys, their competition team. For the next six years, Todd and Randy would travel all over the country, participating in competitions, perfecting their craft and learning what makes truly great barbecue.
